I have published a new Fine Art Photography Book! Retratos do Recôncavo (Portraits of the Recôncavo) was photographed entirely in rural Bahia, Brazil. Bahia is a state located in northeast Brazil which is known for its Afro-Brazilian roots and culture as well as its stunning beaches, forests, and natural parks. The book contains portraits of healers, priestesses of Candomblé, other prominent women of the region, landscapes, and still life. Please spread the word to lovers of photography! Contact me for individual or bulk orders! Viva Brazil and Bahia!

Katmandu, Nepal. Largest Buddhist Stupa in Asia. 6:30 a.m. My backyard in Kathmandu. Thousands of pilgrims from Nepal, Tibet, and beyond make a kora- circumnavigating the stupa daily chanting “Om Mani Padme Hum” and counting repetitions on their malas. “Om Mani Padme Hum” translates to “The Jewel in the Lotus.” The energy here is beautiful and mystical. The walkers of the kora are varied. On any given day one might see older Tibetan women with lined faces wearing their chubas and turquoise jewelry, monks wearing maroon robes, Nepalis wearing newari blankets, and tourists sporting their North Face jackets
